Parlor Tea's bamboo matcha whisk (chasen) is made from sustainably harvested bamboo, aged for over 1 year, then handcrafted by artisans into a 100 prong whisk.
The purpose of this traditional matcha tool is to mix the matcha powder and hot water together to make matcha tea (usucha), and to create a layer of small bubbles on the surface of the liquid that are important to the delicious experience of drinking ceremonial matcha green tea.
